Response to Intervention Teacher

Response to Intervention (RtI) is an effective approach integrated by our school district to help all students. The RtI program provides our students opportunities to learn and work using guided practices that promote growth and learning at their grade level. The Response to Intervention Specialist must be knowledgeable of the 3 Tier RTI process used to design, implement, and monitor interventions that are intended to help students achieve academic success. This individual must possess the ability to work collaboratively with school administrators, teachers, staff, and parents to ensure effective practices for individual and small group interventions in grades Pre-K-12. 

Education/Certification/License/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate within core content area(s); meet ESSA Highly Qualified Standards
  • Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
  • Classroom teaching experience 

Secondary English - 2 available positions

Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the ELAR/core academic subject area assigned to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Enable students to develop competencies and skills to function successfully in society.

Education/Certification/License/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited university
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate within core content area(s); meet ESSA Highly Qualified Standards

Special Education Teacher 

Provide special education services to K-12 students with learning activities and experiences designed to help them fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Develop or modify curricula and prepare lessons and other instructional materials to student ability levels. Work in self-contained, team, departmental, and/or itinerant capacity as assigned.

Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor's degree from accredited university
  • Valid Texas teaching certificate with required special education endorsements for assignments

Special Knowledge/Skills/Abilities/Experience:

  • Knowledge of special needs of students in assigned area
  • Knowledge of Admission, Review, and Dismissal (ARD) Committee process and
  • Individual Education Plan (IEP) goal setting process and implementation
  • General knowledge of curriculum and instruction 

Special Education Teacher and teaching responsibilities in JH Math & Science

Anticipated Job Posting - Special Education Aide 

To help meet the physical and instructional needs of individual students with disabilities inside and outside of the classroom. To assist with the implementation of classroom programs, Individual Education Plans (IEP), including self-help, behavior management, and instruction programs. To work under the general supervision of the principal and the immediate direction of a certified teacher.
